Ok, where to begin:
The first post on this was quite funny. I'm sorry, but the first part of this was it was someone trying to get me to buy something. If it was all that proven in the movie, why have I not seen any Proof of the comments made how global warming is happening AND is caused by man.
The polar bears:
Sorry, they aren't dying, they aren't stranded on ice, and the picture of the polar bear on ice with it's cub is a fraud. Polar bears can swim for Hundreds of miles. The picture was taken with an original comment describing how the bears were having FUN on the ice, not stranded there crying for the human race to save them. In fact, the guy who is taking credit for the poor polar bears when out on Antarctica to test the thickness of the ice. As he dug through the ice, his partners were carrying rifles to protect him from the bears, and he found the ice was significantly thicker than he thought.
The Carbon Credits:
I'm sorry, but Al Gore is a capitalist. He is trying to make money by scaring people so they invite him to speak to their communities. He buys the carbon credits from himself, and doesn't sell the credits to anyone else. The only thing more hypocritical than Al Gore's carbon credits is his energy consumption. He has a house that most people only dream of, with an energy bill that'd make most people go broke.
Co2 is bad for the environment:
What a joke. The kingdom of plants (Biology class kiddies) thrives in high CO2 environments. The photosynthesis of plants requires two simple elements: Co2 and H20. Now, if the sea levels are rising, that means more water right? and more Co2 means more plant life. Also, photosynthesis requires one more important thing: sunlight. So, could you not say that plant life would thrive in a sunlit, C02 swampland? So tree huggers unite! If global warming is occurring, there'll be more plants. (which means more animals, etc. Follow the food chain people.)
Humans cause global warming:
Didn't someone already post about bacteria causing more C02 than humans? Don't forget the precious rainforest. And Mars. How can you explain the Mars factor? Humans are casting off enough radiation to reach a planet many many miles away? Are we humans so arrogant as to believe we could destroy planet Earth? You decide.
Solar panels are a fraud:
Making solar panels, we cast off all of those EVIL gases that cause the 'greenhouse effect'. And how long do those panels last? 10 years is the longest I've personally heard of. And wind generators. I am probably generating more total electrical energy in some people's brains right now they are 'saving energy'.
My Own Theory of "Global Warming"
Ever had a physics class were the teacher rants on and on about the heat death of the universe. How every reaction in the world between chemicals either gives or requires heat? Ever heard of entropy? How no matter what we do, we cannot ever get a heat engine with 100% efficiency because to do so would violate the laws of thermodynamics? If not, do some research, and be astounded.
So basically, my point is: How can humans be the cause of global warming when we've been around for about nine thousandish years, while the earth has been heating and cooling continuously since it was created?
Sorry, I just can't believe that we are hurting the world through our actions.
